New Media Trends ...
clipshack
and ourmedia.org
as much as the Google Internet TV Network, Apple and others
are all aware of the fact, that the days of regular TV programming
are coming to an end.
More and more people are getting tired of the same dramas,
soaps and censored news mixes, so that individual "media
production" is bound to become as big as writing into
blogs.
Podcasts are certainly another huge trend which will steal
audiences from the regular networks.
Up until now print, films and music industries have been
shaken by the Internet and New Media. Right next will be the
regular TV Networks, who will get hit by much smaller audiences
and shrinking revenues.
An exceptional smart move had so far been the development
of NFL Network, where the National Football League is fully
keeping in touch with their fans over the Internet and other
TV distributions.
And some it is feasible, that further improved technologies
will lead to the day, when NFL Live Gameday coverage will
only become available over the Internet on a pay per game
scheme.
One may imagine how many fans would like to pay a few Dollar
just to see their team against the Patriots or any other big
team.
Brazilian and UK soccer, Wimbledon Tennis and other prime
events are only some of the ideal money spinners for the future,
when media distribution will get taken to another level.
In 2007 for a first time the UEFA Champions League will become
fully available on the web for a very first time as a result
of a pressure deal that the soccer association had imposed
on the regular broadcaster Premiere TV.
They now have to look for a technology partner, who will
be able to handle world wide Internet casting with huge amounts
of traffic to handle.
However, that is still some pioneering and the future will
become much much different with stronger lines at even lower
costs.
On demand video and Internet TV is changing the landscape
with much more versatility and a heavy impact on regular TV
producers.
